WAVERLY, Mich. (WILX) - Waverly Community Schools has delayed the start of the school year for the second time.
In a statement, Interim Superintendent Richard Dunham announced that Winans Elementary, Waverly Middle School, and Waverly High School will now begin classes on Monday, August 25.
Colt Early Childhood Education Center, Elmwood Elementary, and East Intermediate are still scheduled to start on Thursday, August 21.
On Monday, Dunham had already postponed the original start date from August 20 to August 21.
Dunahm said construction-related setbacks are the reason for the additional delay.
