LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - A 42-year-old woman from Jackson sustained multiple serious injuries as a result of a crash in Eaton County Tuesday morning, according to Michigan State Police. The woman is still in serious condition at University of Michigan-Health Sparrow Hospital, but is considered stable.

State Police said Wednesday that the crash happened around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Waverly Rd and Plains Highway.

According to a preliminary investigation, a semi-truck, driven by a 36-year-old man from Kalkaska was traveling north on Waverly Rd when he failed to stop at a stop sign. The semi-truck crashed into a mini van driven by the 42-year-old woman from Jackson.
