EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio — Crews responded early Wednesday morning to multiple house fires in the 1600 block of Bryn Mawr Road in East Cleveland.
According to Mansell Baker, East Cleveland’s Safety Director, the fire began around 4:30 a.m. at a two-family home. Officials say the fire spread to at least one neighboring house, with three homes now considered involved.
Officials noted that firefighters faced challenges accessing the homes due to items blocking entryways.
According to Baker, crews are currently searching for an older man believed to live in the house where the fire started. Authorities noted his car was still on the property.
