McCook residents protesting ICE facility

Some McCook residents are uneasy after it was announced that federal detainees would be held at a facility in their town. Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen held a press conference Tuesday evening where he announced a partnership with the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency, and the use of a McCook facility to house detainees.

There were protests across the state, but also right outside the room where the press conference was being given. People who showed up calling the governor a coward for not speaking to the public and answering their questions.
