After a brief hiatus, “ South Park ” is set to return with a new episode this week.

Season 27 Episode 3 will air Wednesday, Aug. 20, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central, the network announced. The episode will also stream on Paramount+ beginning Aug. 21, at 6 a.m. ET/3 a.m. PT.

The long-running animated comedy, which marked its 28th anniversary earlier this month, has drawn attention this season for its satirical takes on President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

The series last aired a new episode on Aug. 6, before going on break for “South Park Day,” a marathon of fan-favorite episodes that aired Aug. 13 to celebrate the show’s debut in 1997.
