Police are appealing for information after a 64-year-old woman lost her life in a tragic crash involving a bus this week.

The pedestrian was struck by a bus on Barrhead Road at around 3.50pm on Monday, August 18. Emergency services scrambled to the scene and the road was closed for around six hours.

Sadly, despite the best efforts of medical teams, the woman was pronounced dead at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. There were no reports of any other injuries.

Officers are continuing their appeal for information following the tragedy.
