CORTLAND A Cortland man reported to the Trumbull County jail on Tuesday to begin serving a two-week sentence resulting from a deadly six-vehicle, chain reaction accident in Bazetta Township last fall.

In addition to the 14 days in jail, 19-year-old Anthony Marble-Salem was sentenced this week in Trumbull County Central District Court to two years' probation and ordered to perform 200 hours of community service. Marble-Salem pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide in May.

The patrol says the Ford was pushed into the Mazda in front of it. The Mazda was then pushed underneath a Saturn SL2.

The Saturn wound up on top of the Mazda after striking a 2011 Chrysler Town and Country, which struck the rear of a Nissan Murano.
