NEWINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Thanks to Erin in Newington, who took this video of a bear playing with the hammock in her backyard.

In the video, you can see the bear also ripped up a pillow which was sitting on the hammock at the time.

According to the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP), 54 bear sightings have been reported in Newington so far this year.

Nearby in Farmington, over 300 sightings have been reported.
