Dress for a cool day & have your umbrella! We do need some rain as drought conditions are developing & some rain will be welcome today. A wide range of 0.25" to 2.25" is expected for our state. It will be windy Thursday into Friday morning as Erin misses Connecticut to our east but high tide could run higher than usual through Friday AM. Warmer temperatures return late week & for the weekend.

We are very lucky here in Southern New England as a cold front comes down from Canada and deflects Erin away from Connecticut. It will likely be a Category 2 hurricane as it pulls away from the Mid-Atlantic and New England coastline later this week. Rough surf and dangerous rip currents are expected all the way north to Maine. Boaters and open ocean beach goers need to pay attention to advisories!
