A suspect in a multi-vehicle shootout on the Crescent City Connection that left one dead and another injured in July turned himself in on Tuesday, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
Jawuan Riley, 25, was booked into the Orleans Parish jail on a count of second-degree murder and three counts of attempted second-degree murder, according to online records with the Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office. Riley turned himself in hours after police publicly named him as a suspect.
Riley is accused of opening fire on the Crescent City Connection on July 27 in a shootout that killed 27-year-old Vincent Robertson. Multiple vehicles and at least one other person were shot in the exchange of gunfire, police said.
