Hot and dry conditions had led many municipalities across Grey-Bruce to implement full or partial bans on open air burning in recent weeks.

At West Grey, despite the ban being lifted, residents were still being advised to exercise caution when burning, as dry conditions and dead grass from the recent dry spell means there is still an increased risk of grass fires.
