Vancouver Rise FC continues their undefeated streak with a win over AFC Toronto on Sunday (Aug. 17).

The Rise FC took on AFC Toronto at BMO Field in Toronto, holding possession 45 percent of the time and taking 12 shots, six on goal, while Toronto took 14, six on goal.

In the 39th minute, Rise FC's Jasmyne Spencer was shown a yellow card, followed by a red card, meaning the team would be down to 10 players.

Rise FC's Jessica De Filippo scored the only goal of the match, and her third of the season, just 25 seconds after the start of the second half. Both teams continued to fight hard, but Rise FC managed to hold onto the lead. This is the first time a team in the league has won despite being down a player.
