CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man is accused of groping a woman at a Johnson C. Smith University residence hall this week.

Affidavits from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department indicate the incident was reported on Monday, August 18. The woman said 18-year-old Patrick York groped her at Mosaic Village, located along West Trade Street near the campus. He reportedly left the building after groping her once, then returned to do so again.

The woman said she was unable to get away from him and wanted a protective order filed against York. She indicated she did not know him and had never seen him before the incident. She also believed he was intoxicated at the time.
