COLUMBIA, S.C. — Doctors Care facilities in South Carolina are officially transitioning to Novant Health Urgent Care after Novant Health acquired UCI Medical Affiliates Inc. from BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina.

The acquisition took place in November 2024 and the 52 Doctors Care locations and 20 Progressive Physical Therapy clinics will finish the switch over by Labor Day. Other than new signage, the Novant Health Urgent Care locations will continue patient walk-in availability and offer online scheduling options, accept most insurance plans, and provide comprehensive urgent care services for injuries and diseases.
