CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A man was arrested after allegedly holding a woman against her will and groping her at a housing unit of a Charlotte university.

Patrick York was arrested on Tuesday, Aug. 19, and charged with one count of sexual battery regarding an incident at Johnson C. Smith University’s Mosaic Village. He was released hours later after posting a $2,000 bond.

According to an arrest warrant, York grabbed a woman’s waist, left the building, then returned and held her waist tightly and grabbed her sexually against her will.

The two did not know each other, according to an affidavit.

York’s next court appearance was scheduled for Oct. 21.
