FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons are hoping they avoided a significant blow after offensive lineman Kaleb McGary was carted off the field with an apparent injury at training camp on Wednesday morning.
11Alive was at training camp when McGary went down on the field during offensive line drills. Players were huddled around him for several minutes before he was loaded onto the cart. It's unclear whether he got onto the cart on his own power or whether he had to be helped on.
McGary has been rock steady for the Falcons at right tackle since being drafted in the first round back in 2019. He has started at least 13 games in every season he has played in Atlanta, while starting at least 16 games in four of his six seasons in the NFL.
He earned himself a two-year, $30 million contract
