RIVERVIEW, Fla. (WFLA) — Court documents released Tuesday revealed what led up to a body found off the Gandy Bridge over the weekend.
During an interview with the witness, detectives learned that the victim, Hiojaira Velez-Bonilla, was the primary resident of a home she lived in with her two teenage sons.
Giselle Santiago Bonilla, the victim's cousin, had recently moved into the home with her boyfriend, Arnaldo Cintron.
A witness told detectives that in the early hours of Aug. 15, Velez-Bonilla and Cintron were having an argument in the kitchen over the lack of help with the bills and other responsibilities around the house.
According to court records, Cintron pushed Velez-Bonilla to the floor before arming himself with a knife and stabbing her repeatedly while calling her "B****, B***
