Nine in 10 parents find it difficult to get children back into a bedtime routine

Nine out of 10 parents believe that re-establishing bedtime routines following the summer holidays is their biggest challenge, new research has revealed.

The study, which questioned 1,000 parents with children aged between four and 12, discovered that almost half struggle with youngsters who refuse earlier bedtimes, whilst more than a third battle with too much screen time before sleep.

Additional hurdles include later summer bedtimes becoming established practice and parents themselves abandoning their typical sleep patterns.
