LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - The University of Nebraska has changed their policy on Cornhusker Marching Band gameday rehearsals in Memorial Stadium.

Dubbed “...a long standing practice”, the University of Nebraska Bands apologized before noting the new policy change is “irreversible”.

Keith Mann, Senior Associate Athletic Director for Communications, confirmed the announcement made by the University of Nebraska Bands Facebook account, Wednesday morning:

In the post, security is cited as a driving factor for why spectators will not be allowed to be present during rehearsals, “...security needs to sweep the stadium earlier in the day with no spectators present...”
