NEWBURGH, Maine — Emergency crews responded to what they described as a serious crash shortly before noon Wednesday in Newburgh.
A section of Route 69, also known as Carmel Road North, was closed to traffic from Route 202 to North Road while several local and state officials responded.
Penobscot County dispatchers were notified shortly before noon about a head-on collision involving a sports passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer, according to a news release from the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office.
