Bicyclist hospitalized after colliding with vehicle in Kill Devil Hills

Update : The Town of Kill Devil Hills told the Voice that the 27-year-old bicyclist airlifted to Sentara Norfolk General after colliding with a vehicle on Aug. 15, did not suffer life-threatening injuries. According to the latest update received by the Town, she remained hospitalized over the past weekend.

On Friday, August 15, at approximately 11:21 a.m., a collision involving a bicyclist and a vehicle occurred at the intersection of North Croatan Highway (US 158) and West Palmetto Street in Kill Devil Hills.

According to the initial investigation, 27-year-old Sabrin Meshal Ismail of Kill Devil Hills was traveling southbound on a bicycle along the multi-use sidewalk on the west
