Mark Hamill wanted to leave the U.S. after Donald Trump go re-elected as president, until his wife convinced him to stay.
The actor, best known for his portrayal of Luke Skywalker in the “Star Wars” franchise, recently revealed in an interview with The Times that he gave his wife the option of moving to either London or Ireland when Trump won the 2024 election.
“She’s very clever,” Hamill told the outlet. “She didn’t respond right away but a week later she said, ‘I’m surprised you would allow him to force you out of your own country.’”
“That son of a (expletive),” he continued. “I thought, ‘I’m not leaving.’”
Hamill, who is a a lifelong and avid Democrat, added that he also stayed in the U.S. because he believes there are still “more honest, decent people than there are the MAGA crow
