On Aug. 19, the Metro Nashville Council voted 25-9 to approve the rezoning of nearly 300 acres worth of properties in the neighborhood to zoning categories that allow for higher housing density. Council members Joy Kimbrough, Jennifer Webb, Jeff Eslick, Thom Druffel, Courtney Johnston, David Benton, Tasha Ellis, John Rutherford and Antoinette Lee voted against the rezoning; Jennifer Gamble abstained.
