DOUGLAS COUNTY, Neb. —
Douglas County provided an update on the Highway Improvement Plan with multiple projects underway.
One of the projects is the 168th and Ida intersection, near Flanagan Lake.
Officials said they're getting ready to pour concrete, turn lanes and stoplights are being added.

The project on Q Street from 192nd to 204th is experiencing some delays due to utilities. No updated timeline was provided.
Douglas County Engineer Todd Pfitzer said to expect more roundabouts in the future.
"At a signalized intersection, the deadliest crash we have is a ninety degree angle crash. So when somebody runs a red light and hits someone in the driver's door, that is the deadliest crash pattern experience. You don't have that at roundabouts. You have what we call side swip
