WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) - New files related to Jeffrey Epstein will soon be turned over to Congress.

It comes after a House Committee subpoenaed the DOJ for documents and now begins questioning witnesses about the case.

The Justice Department will start giving documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking case to lawmakers Friday.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer says the goal is transparency for the American people.

"I think the administration knows this is what Congress wants -- Republicans and Democrats. And President Trump has said clearly, he wants to release all the documents. So, we're going to get the documents," Rep. Comer (R-Ky.) said.

But Democrats on the committee like Virginia Congressman Suhas Subramanyam are skeptical they'll get the full picture f
