HOLT, Mich. (WILX) - A 13-year-old Holt boy was injured Wednesday afternoon while walking home from school.
On Wednesday, Aug. 20 at 2:50 p.m., a Holt Jr. High School student was walking home from school when he was hit by a car.
According to the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office, a 46-year-old Okemos woman was driving southbound on Aurelius Road near Wilcox Road when her vehicle hit the teenager.
The boy was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
The victim has not been identified. It’s unclear if the driver will face any criminal charges.
The crash is still under investigation.
“Our thoughts and prayers for a quick recovery are with the young man, his family, and the Holt community,” the Sheriff’s Office said.
