HOLYOKE, Mass. —

A suspect wanted in Vermont dragged a Massachusetts trooper with their vehicle before leading officers on a high-speed pursuit and likely entered Connecticut, according to Massachusetts State Police.

The suspect was identified by the Dover Police Department in Vermont as Mason Payne, a person of interest in a reported domestic incident at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

Massachusetts State Police became involved shortly after 10 p.m. near Exit 15 on Interstate 91 in Holyoke when State Police stopped a black Audi with a temporary Vermont registration. Trooper Leah M.
