LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Lincoln Police Department said Wednesday it is investigating an assault outside of a downtown bar.
About 2 a.m. Friday, several people got into an argument near 16th and O streets, LPD said.
Investigators said surveillance video captured a man picking up a 25-year-old Lincoln man and throwing him to the ground.
Another man then punched the victim after he landed, police said.
The victim was taken to a hospital.
LPD said it is trying to get his medical records to figure out how severely he was injured, which will determine what exact assault charge could be pursued.
Once that’s complete, the investigation will move forward.
