AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - A new 3,000 square-foot chapel will soon be part of the Randall County Jail.
This comes after its building proposal was unanimously approved at the latest Commissioner’s Court meeting.
The chapel will be connected to the jail and will include an outside entrance for members of the Jail Ministry Program.
Not only will the chapel feature religious services, but it will also host alcohol and substance recovery programs.
“It will be a non-denominational chapel for those of all faiths can come and worship, but it will also be a multipurpose facility where we can do different trainings. If they have AA meetings that they need to attend, there will be a location for that,” said Sheriff Chris Forbis.
