CLOVIS, N.M. (KFDA) - A Clovis man has been sentenced to two consecutive life terms for the 2021 shooting deaths of Kennedy Hodge, 53, and Ricky Johnson, 58.

On May 22, 2025, a Curry County jury found Danny Price, 58, guilty of two counts of first-degree murder, a capital felony.

He was also convicted of tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony, and resisting, evading or obstructing an officer, a misdemeanor.

The verdict followed a four-day trial presided over by District Judge Drew Tatum.

The charges stem from a deadly shooting on April 28, 2021, in Clovis . Officers responded to reports of gunfire and a suspect fleeing the scene.
