WILLIAMSPORT, P.A. (Dakota News Now) - The Sioux Falls Little League team took on South Carolina on Wednesday night, hoping to keep their season alive.
Throughout the week, the team has applauded the sportsmanship of their peers, both from other countries and in the United States.
One team from this tournament will be given an award for their efforts on and off the field.
Sportsmanship is at the heart of Williamsport, the birthplace of Little League Baseball.
The Team Sportsmanship Award was established in 2004 in honor of the 1947 Little League World Series champion, who later turned pro football player, Jack Losch .
“It helps the whole team because it makes it just makes everyone feel way better about themselves and it just helps a lot,” said Murphy Seefeldt.
