EUGENE — In its search for production at receiver, Oregon is getting consistent performance from one of its oldest players.

Even while sidelined with a hip injury for most of last season, Gary Bryant Jr. was already the leader of the Ducks wide outs . He’s continuing in that capacity entering his sixth-year senior season and reminding everyone what he offers on the field as well.

“Gary Bryant is one of the most consistent football players I’ve ever been around,” offensive coordinator Will Stein said. “He’s a complete pro. He does everything you ask him to do. He blocks his ass off. He runs routes at the specific depth. He catches the ball, makes plays, good with the ball in hand.”

Bryant had just five punt returns for 42 yards and two catches for 12 yards in five games last season.
