QUINCY (WGEM) - After several months of being closed, the city of Quincy announced the Harrison Street bridge will reopen on Friday.
The bridge closed down in March to be replaced and was expected to be completed in September.
The replacement, which cost nearly $2 million, was funded by the REBUILD Illinois Bond Funds.
The bridge now has a sidewalk on both sides.
City officials said with proper maintenance, the bridge is expected to last 75 to 100 years.
