MUNDY TOWNSHIP, MI -- The wishes of residents living around a megasite in Mundy Township were ignored as economic development officials pursued a semiconductor project there, the township supervisor has told members of a state House subcommittee that’s probing taxpayer-funded incentives designed to attract businesses to Michigan.
“Residents have had no say in this process,” Supervisor Jennifer Stainton told the House Oversight Subcommittee on Corporate Subsidies and State Investments on Wednesday, Aug. 20. “There has been no vote. There has been no input from local residents (or) stakeholders.”
