GREER, S.C. —

After starting 0-3 a year ago, the Greer Yellow Jackets reeled off seven wins in their next eight games to reach the second round of the 4A playoffs, before losing to South Pointe.

The Yellow Jackets return ten total starters, including several skill position players, though they have a new quarterback this year in sophomore Dawson Fowler.

"We're getting there. We still have a lot of work to do," said head coach Will Young. "Good group of kids, I think we'll get there eventually."

Fowler will have several experienced skill position players to throw to, as the Yellow Jackets return senior receivers Tucker Husdon, AJ Jackson, and Quantez Miller.

"We've got a core group of guys that have been doing it a long time," Young said. "We feel pretty good about them."
