MALVERN, Ark. - Samantha Pennington and her husband, Mason, got a call in May of 2023 that changed their lives forever.

A baby was dropped off at a Safe Haven Baby Box in Benton, and it was just a matter of time before he had a family that he could call his own.

"We rushed home to meet him, and we took that very first family picture with him,” Samantha said. “And he became ours that day.”

Shortly after his adoption, Christian was diagnosed with a protein deficiency and began having seizures often.

But even with his diagnosis, his family could see the personality Christian began forming in the next few months.

"Me and him could just sit and watch movies, watch baseball,” Mason said. “He would just cuddle up right next to you.”
