MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. (KMOT) – A bus driver transporting high school-age students from Minot Air Force Base to school in Minot was arrested Wednesday for driving under the influence, according to the Ward County Sheriff’s Office.

Capt. Jason Kraft said they received a report of a bus that had been pulled over on Minot Air Force Base near one of the gates around 8 a.m.

Kraft said base law enforcement received calls from concerned citizens reporting driving behavior. He said base officers noticed erratic behavior from the driver and contacted the Ward County Sheriff’s Office.

Kraft said the driver, a 65-year-old man, was taken into custody for DUI, and other charges are pending.
