A 16-year-old Maryvale High School student accused of fatally stabbing another student in a classroom on Aug. 19 has been charged with second-degree murder, according to court documents.
Chris Aguilar was given a $500,000 cash-only bond.
Phoenix officers responded to the west Phoenix school at around 10:54 a.m. after receiving a call about a stabbing and found a boy with multiple stab wounds, documents said.
The boy was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased at noon, documents said. He was not identified in court records, nor has he been identified by police or school officials.
