MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WV News) — U.S. District Judge John Preston Bailey granted a preliminary injunction Wednesday that will allow four West Virginia University football players to compete during the 2025-2026 season.

The ruling comes in a lawsuit filed by Jimmori Robinson, Jeffrey Weimer, Tye Edwards and Justin Harrington against the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The plaintiffs sought an injunction to prevent the NCAA from enforcing rules that would make them ineligible to play based on time they spent at junior colleges.

The court's decision, issued from the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia, found that the players are likely to succeed on the merits of their claim that the NCAA's eligibility rules violate the Sherman Antitrust Act. Specifically,
