Neighbours in a Brampton neighbourhood are on edge after a targeted shooting Monday night left one man dead and put another in hospital.

The shooting occurred inside a home at 89 Bayhampton Dr., northeast of Humberwest Pkwy. and Castlemore Rd., around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Peel Regional Police Const. Sarah Patten said two men were found in the home suffering from gunshot wounds and “one of the victims did succumb to his injuries on scene” while the second victim was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

“Investigators have given information that this is believed to be a targeted, isolated incident,” added Patten. “It is believed suspects fled in a vehicle.”
