BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - Managers in several different fields in North Dakota’s workforce are finding themselves in a tough position. They desperately need workers. The North Dakota University System established a new program to help fill the gap.
With the help of legislators, the NDUS established the Workforce Education Innovation Fund, a program created to give North Dakota’s college campuses the resources to create educational programming that helps grow the state’s workforce.
“We are extremely grateful to the late Representative Cynthia Schreiber-Beck, who really heard the campuses’ need for what we call seed money to start up new and innovative programs,” said Lisa Johnson, vice chancellor of Academic Affairs with the NDUS.
