Of the many questions Montana State faces entering the 2025 football season, the secondary might be the biggest.

None of the five defensive backs who finished last season as starters remain at MSU. The five DBs listed as first-stringers on the Bobcats’ pre-fall camp depth chart have combined to play about 60 games in their college careers, and only one DB on the roster — Caden Dowler — has made a start (six total).
