MISSOULA — Special teams have truly been special for the Montana football team under head coach Bobby Hauck, who oversees that third phase.

The Grizzlies have scored at least one touchdown on a kickoff or punt return in 12 of the 13 seasons Hauck has led his alma mater. In total, they've found the end zone 32 times on special teams in that same stretch.

"(It's) the way we practice and the standard that we're held to," senior Tanner Huff said of why the Griz have been so consistent on special teams. "We don't accept anything below that. We want to exceed that standard. Honestly, it's just working your butt off to help someone else out make that play."

Gone is record-breaking punt returner and main kick returner Junior Bergen. Drew Deck, who backed him up on punts, is back this year. UM d
