New-build towers offering over 2,000 beds to replace the Cambridge Halls at Manchester Metropolitan University are to be recommended for approval by the planning committee.
Two new buildings of 30 and 24 storeys would replace the demolished university halls at Manchester Metropolitan University’s All Saints campus.
Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) unveiled the plans to build the new halls of residence in January. The two blocks would be skyscrapers and create an increase of more than 1,500 from current accommodation in the vicinity.
New 'health, wellbeing and retail' sites would also be provided in the plan, an MMU spokesperson said.
