A major multi-million-dollar St. John retail center underwent an expansion that more than tripled its size, and it's already filling up.
Developer Sophia Panagakis constructed Arcadia Center on a busy stretch of Wicker Avenue five years ago, bringing Arby's and Athletico Physical Therapy to St. John in a retail center she bills as a "premier retail destination." Panagakis recently completed Arcadia Center Phase II, which added eight more units to the originally four-unit strip mall at U.S. 41 and 101st Place, where there's a traffic light.
Arcadia Center started out with around 5,400 square feet and now has more than 16,800 square feet.
