SOMERSET, Calif. —

A wildfire burning in El Dorado County on Wednesday afternoon has prompted evacuation warnings, according to Cal Fire.

The Coyote Fire is burning near Cedar Creek Road and Coyoteville Lane in Somerset, Cal Fire said.

AlertWildfire cameras showed a large plume of white smoke.

As of 4:20 p.m., the fire has burned 60 acres with a moderate rate of spread, Cal Fire said.

The evacuation warning zone covers Omo Ranch to Farnham Ridge Road from east to west and Omo Ranch to the south fork of the Cosumnes River.
