An emerging wildfire south of Big Sky is raising concerns as steadily grows in size since it was first reported Tuesday evening and fire conditions remain critical.
The West Fork Fire remained 0% contained and had grown from 200 acres to 600 between Wednesday morning and afternoon. Firefighters continue to attempt to subdue it as a Red Flag warning remained in effect for Gallatin County.
“No evacuations ordered at this point in time,” a Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office press release said. “Gallatin County Sheriff’s Deputies have been informing campers at the campgrounds about the fire for awareness.”
