A 59-year-old woman was arrested on four outstanding warrants Monday that were issued after she was accused of pointing a shotgun at her former daughter-in-law in November 2023.

According to an Ector County Sheriff’s Office report, a woman told deputies she’d taken her children to her former husband’s residence to pick up their belongings when her ex got into an argument with them as she sat in her car across the street.

During the argument, the woman said Pilar Gardea came out of the home with a shotgun, walked across the street and pointed the gun at her, the report stated.

The woman said her son grabbed the barrel of the gun pushing it away from her and placing him and her other two children in danger, the report stated.
