MONTPELIER, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) - Vermont labor officials announced Wednesday that two separate grants were being awarded to the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps (VYCC) to support potential careers in agriculture and construction.

“We’re proud to deepen our partnership with VYCC and invest in innovative programs that blend hands-on training with long-term career development," said Jay Ramsey, Director of Workforce Development.

One of the two grants will go to support a summer training program for 10 teenagers from Winooski and Burlington, ages 15 to 18, who are English language learners interested in working in conservation and agriculture.
