COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho – A fire broke out late on August 19, leaving a two-story home uninhabitable.
Kootenai County Fire and Rescue Division Chief Mitchell Copstead reported that crews responded to the home in the 6200 block of W. Harbor Drive at 11:46 p.m. and quickly extinguished the flames.
One occupant safely evacuated before fire crews arrived. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The fire caused minor damage to a neighbor's garage. Crews from Coeur d'Alene Fire and Kootenai County Fire and Rescue were on the scene for about four hours.
Copstead said the fire was accidental and human-caused, with no suspicious activity involved.
